Fitness: Healing & Maintenance

Senior Fitness keeps you sharpFitness often correlates with better health. Whether a Boomer, Retiree or Senior; proper nutrition and routine fitness bolsters a feeling of wellness – body and soul. Care promotes fitness for Health and Safety with all of our clients. A hired caregiver is a trusted person to assist you with personal care, household chores and someone who will walk by your side and do movement exercises together with you. Fear of falling keeps many seniors more stationary. Having an aide assist you helps decrease these fears and allows the person to be more active than on their own.

Seniors have physical and occupational therapy covered.

Is it covered?

Medicare will cover in home Physical Therapy through Part A. It will also cover outpatient PT under Part B. There are advantages to doing both, even as a regular “tune up” for strengthening, balance and improved gait. You will need to get an order from your doctor and can do outpatient following in-home therapy.  In the last couple of years, Medicare has adjusted coverage to cover more therapy. Not every condition will improve but it is so important to be able to maintain at the highest level you can. This helps with self-esteem, independence and over all sense of well-being.
